Chapter 5

1But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. 2For yourselves know perfectly that the day of yhuh so cometh as a thief in the night. 3For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. 4But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. 5Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
 6Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. 7For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. 8But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. 9For yhuh hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Master Yahushua the Messiah, 10Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.
 11Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do. 12And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in yhuh, and admonish you; 13And to esteem them very highly in love for their works sake. And be at peace among yourselves. 14Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men. 15See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.
 16Rejoice evermore. 17Pray without ceasing. 18In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of yhuh in the Messiah Yahushua concerning you. 19Quench not the Spirit. 20Despise not prophesyings. 21Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. 22Abstain from all appearance of evil.
 23And the very Elohim of peace separate you wholly; so that your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Master Yahushua the Messiah. 24Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it. 25Brethren, pray for us. 26Greet all the brethren with an holy kiss. 27I charge you by the Master that this epistle be read unto all the holy brethren. 28The grace of our Master Yahushua the Messiah be with you.
(1 Thessalonians 5:1)
But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that aught be written unto you.

(1 Thessalonians 5:2)
For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.

(1 Thessalonians 5:3)
When they are saying, Peace and safety, then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall in no wise escape.

(1 Thessalonians 5:4)
But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief:

(1 Thessalonians 5:5)
for ye are all sons of light, and sons of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness;

(1 Thessalonians 5:6)
so then let us not sleep, as do the rest, but let us watch and be sober.

(1 Thessalonians 5:7)
For they that sleep sleep in the night: and they that are drunken are drunken in the night.

(1 Thessalonians 5:8)
But let us, since we are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for a helmet, the hope of salvation.

(1 Thessalonians 5:9)
For God appointed us not into wrath, but unto the obtaining of salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,

(1 Thessalonians 5:10)
who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.

(1 Thessalonians 5:11)
Wherefore exhort one another, and build each other up, even as also ye do.

(1 Thessalonians 5:12)
But we beseech you, brethren, to know them that labor among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you;

(1 Thessalonians 5:13)
and to esteem them exceeding highly in love for their work's sake. Be at peace among yourselves.

(1 Thessalonians 5:14)
And we exhort you, brethren, admonish the disorderly, encourage the fainthearted, support the weak, be longsuffering toward all.

(1 Thessalonians 5:15)
See that none render unto any one evil for evil; but always follow after that which is good, one toward another, and toward all.

(1 Thessalonians 5:16)
Rejoice always;

(1 Thessalonians 5:17)
pray without ceasing;

(1 Thessalonians 5:18)
in everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus to you-ward.

(1 Thessalonians 5:19)
Quench not the Spirit;

(1 Thessalonians 5:20)
despise not prophesyings;

(1 Thessalonians 5:21)
prove all things; hold fast that which is good;

(1 Thessalonians 5:22)
abstain from every form of evil.

(1 Thessalonians 5:23)
And the God of peace himself sanctify you wholly; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved entire, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

(1 Thessalonians 5:24)
Faithful is he that calleth you, who will also do it.

(1 Thessalonians 5:25)
Brethren, pray for us.

(1 Thessalonians 5:26)
Salute all the brethren with a holy kiss.

(1 Thessalonians 5:27)
I adjure you by the Lord that this epistle be read unto all the brethren.

(1 Thessalonians 5:28)
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
(1 Thessalonians 5:1)
But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.

(1 Thessalonians 5:2)

For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.

(1 Thessalonians 5:8)

In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

(1 Thessalonians 5:19)
Quench not the Spirit.

(1 Thessalonians 5:20)
Despise not prophesyings.

Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.

(1 Thessalonians 5:25)
Brethren, pray for us.

(1 Thessalonians 5:26)
Greet all the brethren with an holy kiss.

(1 Thessalonians 5:27)
I charge you by the Lord that this epistle be read unto all the holy brethren.

(1 Thessalonians 5:28)
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.
